Why buy your Baby Chondros from me?

Green Tree Pythons are wonderful animals to own and work with, but so much of your success depends on getting started right.  This is especially true regarding the breeders you choose to buy from!   Even the most well-established juvenile can have behavioral issues that will require you to seek help...and this is where I excel in this business.  Nobody combines years of experience with more depth of information and willingness to help, than you will receive from me.

When you purchase neonate chondros from Fine GTPs, you will be getting the healthiest and  most well-established babies possible....anywhere.  Why?

1.  All babies that ship will be established feeders with at least 10-12 meals under their belt.  Animals will be feeding voluntarily and easily on frozen thawed rodents.

2.  All chondros are individuals.   Some are voracious eaters from the beginning, and others require a lot of work.   I don't send out babies until they have demonstrated a good feeding response over a period of time...two or three meals does not make an established baby.

3.  Neonate chondros should not be power fed to push rapid growth on them.  Some clutches and bloodlines grow more quickly at first than others, and can be fed larger items more frequently...and some should not.  It takes an experienced breeder to know the difference.  Most of the time, chondros will catch up with each other at about one and a half to two years of age regardless of how they fed as babies.  Chondros are not corn snakes...the healthiest adults come from babies that were started on an even schedule and fed according to their own growth rates and genetic predispositions.  All Fine GTPs babies will have put on noticeable growth and will be out of the delicate early stage when they ship, regardless of age.

4.  All my animals, young and old, are fed a diet of rodents that I raise myself, from stock certified to be virus free, and clean of any diseases or contamination.  The rodents are kept as clean as the snakes, and fed a nutritious rodent chow specifically made for them.

5.  All my babies and yearlings are housed and raised in scrumptiously clean facilties, and their tubs are sterilized regularly with an antibacterial disinfectant.  Plastic perches are used that are impervious to soil and stains, and can be disinfected as well.

6.  All babies are given Reverse-Osmosis water exclusively, both in drinking bowls and via misting.

7.  Complete records are provided with each animal, including a data card with hatch details and feeding and shed records, as well as a bloodline pedigree tracing the lineage of your animal back as far as possible, often to the original founder stock.

8.  All Fine GTPs babies are handled as little as possible, and are set up to be worked without the need for removing them from the perch.  Any handling required is performed with extreme care to prevent damage to the fragile tails and vertebra.  Baby personalities, like older animals, vary quite a bit.  No one can guarantee the personality of any chondro over the long term...babies freqently calm down as they approach a year in age, and adults can undergo personality changes as they mature, especially females.  It is bad practice to handle chondros under a year in age, especially with the idea of taming them.
