This was one of several breeding pairs for 2005 that were intended to offer above average captive-bred chondros at moderate prices for newer collectors. Jewel is a smaller than average female, and this was her first clutch. The babies were attractive but as a group they gave me more trouble with initial feeding trials than any other I have produced. Once started however, they took right off and I am hopeful that they will be influenced from the Zulich blue geneitics in the family tree.
