These two adults (the sire from Al Zulich blue stock and the dam from the OS high yellow line) copulated off and on all spring and summer, with eggs finally arriving in September. Ten babies hatched on Election Day which saw George Bush defeat Albert Gore for the Presidency. The robust babies were all maroon with yellow dorsal markings, and all of them accepted meals from the beginning without any trouble.
