Fine Green Tree Pythons Breeding Projects For 2008-2009
Welcome to the Fine Green Tree Pythons breeding projects page. The Fall/Winter 2008-2009 breeding period is "on the books" and offspring from three outstanding high end pairs were produced. Although overall production was lower than anticipated, the results from the three successful pairs are some of the best baby chondros ever produced here or anywhere else.

Reservations: As of April 15th two of the three clutches are sold out. I will be accepting deposits for the third clutch as soon as babies hatch, please see details below for the Rain-X x Day Dream clutch.

Special Note: I do not make sales outside of the US at this time. Please do not request sales info if you are not located in the US.

Thanks for your interest and enthusiasm for my projects!

The 2008-2009 Fine GTPs Breeding Projects

Merauke Outcross x Lafawnduh

Merauke Outcross, TW-01-23 Merauke cross (TW-01-23)

Lafawnduh, GM-04-39 Lafawnduh (GM-04-39)

GM-09-03 Hatchling (GM-09-03)

Lafawnduh is Ella's sister and a 25% potential het, also being crossed with her father in an attempt to hatch maroon albinos. The offspring of the famous Pepper (now deceased), this female will throw high end melanistic offspring with a strong tendency for blue. Lafawnduh has more blue on her than shows in the photo. I guarantee that these babies will be smoking! Although Lafawnduh has not received as much attention as her famous sister Ella-Diablo, she represents a real chance for hatching maroon albino babies as well as a continuation of the extreme melanistic Pepper line.

Status: Cycling began in late October. Paired on 11/15 with aggressive courtship taking place. Copulation recorded on 11/18. The pair was split for feeding and paired again on 11/25 with a copulations resulting on 11/25, 11/29, 12/2, 12/8, and probably more.

Hatch Update: Eight eggs have been incubating and the first egg pipped at 9:45 AM on March 30th. Six offspring hatched over the next two days, two were full term dead. The babies are very handsome and almost patternless.

Deposits and Reservations: This clutch is sold out. A big thanks to all who made reservations.

Mojo x Cha-Cha

Mojo, ontogenic super blue male Mojo (TW-01-21)

Cha Cha, GM-04-58 Cha-Cha (GM-04-58)

GM-09-09 GM-09-09

Mojo is a special animal, a "Super blue" meaning that he morphed directly into a blue adult from the baby color with no green intermediary phase as is common with many blue adults. In addition, Mojo is one of the Dominant Red (RR) animals that are theorized to produce the best high end designer chondros. RR indicates an animal that will always produce all red (or brown) offspring regardless of the mate. Melanism is a possible marker for the RR trait, meaning Cha-Cha and her sister Ella-Diablo may be Red Dominant animals. All of this means that this clutch has very high potential for some outstanding red offspring with blue and melanistic genetics.

Hatch Update: Ovulation took place on 12/30-01/01. The pre-lay shed was recorded on 1/28. The eggs began to be deposited early on Feb. 16th and 18 eggs were incubated. The eggs began to pip on April 8 and 14 hatchlings emerged. These are very, very hot!

Deposits and reservations: I am sold out of this clutch. Thanks to all the lucky people who placed a deposit!

Rain-X x Day Dream

Rain-X (GM-04-24) Rain-X (GM-04-24)

Day Dream Day Dream (JHudson-01)

Rain-X sired babies in 2008 with this female and he was substituted in for Calico Junior when it became apparent that Junior wasn't attracted to Day Dream this season. Rain-X is a third generation calico male and babies from this pair will be one of the must-have projects for high end collectors in 2009.

Status: Cycling began in late October. Many copulations have been recorded since Rain-X was introduced on 12/04. As of 1/06 the breeding activity has slowed and the female is still eating normally.

Hatch Update: Sadly, this small clutch was a total bust.
