This clutch was produced in August 2002 from a spring pairing.  This is Zulu's second successful effort, and he was called up from a resting period when it was discovered that Pepper, at first assumed to be a male, was in fact a female, and needed a mate quickly.  Ten eggs were laid, and several of them were only partially calcified.  Six hatched, and these beautiful babies are the result.  The offspring at the top center was dubbed "darth maul" by ChondroForum users, due to the similarity with the Star Wars Episode I villain with the striped head.
