Aqua babies, 2001

One of the most anticipated clutches of the year, these offspring from blue parents represent a highly sought-after morph.  Nine eggs were artificially incubated using the "no substrate" method.  All the eggs developed full term, but only five hatched in September.  Of these, two demonstrated an unusual inability to swallow food, although it was determined that no obstruction was present in the esophagus.  Both of these eventually died, leaving just three survivors, which were healthy and thrived.  One of these offspring grew to become the gorgeous male "Blue Frost".  A second female also developed much blue at a young age.
